Epidemiological determinants associated with depression among adult hypertensives in an urban field practice area: a cross sectional study

Background: Non-communicable diseases cause, more than 50% of deaths and cardiovascular emerged as the most important cause it. Hypertension affects about 1 billion people worldwide it is estimated that by 2025, up to 1.58 adults while comorbidity depression, anxiety, an public health concern representing 31% all deaths. Objectives were study prevalence depression among adult hypertensive subjects assess epidemiological determinants associated with hypertensives. Methods: A single centre, cross-sectional observational was conducted 350 urban field practice area teaching medical institute 10 months period from May 2019 March 2020. semi-structured, pre-tested questionnaire used for data collection 21 items self-reporting Becks Depression Inventory scale (BDI) assessment depression.
